About Ian Pollock
Primarily self-taught artist working exclusively
in
bronze, has been attracted by art, ever since he
was a young child.
His work is a sort of three dimensional
diary of his
daily existence. The bronzes are cast in the liberties
area of Dublin by cast Ltd. art foundry using a
'cire
perdue' (lost wax) method in ceramic shell
moulds.
Ian Pollock's sculptures have a quality and life all
their
own. Most of the work is exclusive one off
pieces with the exception of a few editions. Every
bronze receives complete
personalised attention
from the artist all the way to the final waxing and
the signing of the finished artwork.
